What is Accreditation ?
Accreditation is the quality infrastructure applied to ensure the reliability and validity of the works of conformity assessment institutions (test and inspection reports, calibration certificates, management system documents, product documents, personnel documents etc.) within the framework of internationally accepted standards.
Conformity assessment bodies; Based on the criteria demanded by international accreditation standards, they are evaluated in the field of technical infrastructure and quality management system.
Accreditation provides confidence that the activities of conformity assessment bodies have internationally valid competence.
It provides the greatest assurance in the global world in proving the competence of products and services in the international arena, without being dependent on the local market, of organizations receiving accredited services under free market conditions.
An institution has been made competent in the field of accreditation with the international recognition agreements signed in each country.
The Turkish Accreditation Agency is the only institution that has been serving in our country since 2001 and is competent in accreditation. TÜRKAK is also a full member of the European Accreditation Association (EA), the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Association (ILAC).
